Our Sole Purpose Defeated

Before one deals with the secondary matter of mankind’s actions, one must remember the very purpose why mankind has been created and his duty. By knowing our purpose, we will be cognizant of our cause and what our actions should be. We have been taught that the only purpose Allah (swt) created us was for His worship and the pinnacle of worship is to declare belief in the Tawheed (oneness) of Allah (swt) in His names, actions, attributes and disbelief and rejection of all forms of gods and laws.

 

What Every Muslim Must Know About Voting

Election is just around the corner. This will take place on the 14th of May 2007. The issue is often reduced to the question: Is voting halal as far as Islam is concerned? As a Muslim, when it comes to voting, we must know the Shariah ruling related to it so that we can adopt and act upon it.

Unfortunately, some of us did not care what Islam said on this matter. We became too confused especially in matters related to laws of Islam governing political action. What we learn is the appearances or the forms rather than substances of religious teachings.
